DOCTORS TIMEOUT FAMILY 6TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION IN NORTH CENTRAL ZONE

We at North Central thank DTOF for the privilege to host this year's anniversary at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.

It's such a great opportunity to be chosen to ameliorate the needs of the less privileged in the society.

Our activities for the week in Gwagwalada started about 14 days ago when we commenced sensitisation of colleagues on what DTOF is all about.

This awareness raised the enthusiasm of many of our members to actively participate in the events of the week including the Webinar series and the charity events.

The Gwagwalada team was ably led by our President, Dr Abdul Ameh with the support of other excos in persons of our VP, Dr Vivian Onyewere, Gen Sec- Dr Onum, AGS- Dr Ayomide Ogunsanya, Treasurer- Dr Majolagbe Ikotun and PRO- Dr Adewale. The other members of the team include past President Dr Godday Akor, Dr Adedeji Adesope, IPP Dr Roberts Abah, Dr Anyang Ubong, Dr Uche Chima, Dr Innocent Abah, Dr Patrick Adie and Dr Chinelo Ekezie.

[08:49, 6/23/2021] Narcolepsy-DoctorsTimeOut: On Friday 18th June 2021, we made a cash donation to an indigent patient at the Maternity ward of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Abuja. Even though it was a relatively small gesture, the donation had far reaching impact on the patient who had otherwise not been able to procure her medications or even feed properly.

This was witnessed by the hospital PRO, social worker coordinator and the matron in charge of the maternity ward following the permission of the CMD.

Two additional indigent patients were assisted with some cash.

Shortly after, the team proceeded to Vine Heritage Foundation Orphanage, Kuje Road, Gwagwalada which caters to the needs of 163 children including infants.

The highpoints of the visit were the passionate message of hope delivered to these children by our former President, Dr Akor as well as the short mingling of the visiting team with the children who looked very happy with our presence in their midst.

We appreciate every donor who made it possible to contribute to the well being of fellow humans.

Long live DTOF.

Dr Adedeji Adesope and Dr Akor
