SOUTH SOUTH ZONE-CELEBRATION OF THE DTOF 7TH ANNIVERSARY  BY ARD FMC YENAGOA 

We  bring warm greetings and good tidings from the coastal city of Yenagoa, the Glory of All Land, Bayelsa State.

The Exco, Medical Outreach committee and Congress appreciate the ethics and privilege commmittee of DTOF for the opportunity given to ARD FMC Yenagoa,  to host the 7th Anniversary of DTOF (South South Edition).Indeed,it  was  an honour and a pleasant experience  and the activities  carried out were very touching and a  memorable one .

As a follow up to our last briefing,we started with a press conference, a road work for sensitisation of DTOF activities in the Hospital,courtesy call to the Management of FMC Yenagoa and we were received by the Head of Clinical services, Dr Peter Alabrah,who welcomed us and appreciated the DTOF for extending  this cooperate social responsibility to the Patient in  FMC Yenagoa and it environs.

We distributed  food  items: cartons of Indomie, cartons of Spagetti, cartons of macaroni, cartons of  milo,cartons of milk, cartons of biscuits etc.

Also toiletries&cosmetics: diapers, toilet rolls,emollients/vaseline, brushes& tooth paste,  bathing and washing soaps etc were given to  patients in the wards of all clinical departments in the hospital.

High points were  payment of cash to  indigent patients to defray their bills...

We also presented twenty(20) cartons of Oral Rehydration Solutions(ORS), packets of condoms, antihelmintics, 5 packet of infusion given set, 3 packets of  cannula, dozens of syringes and other emergency materials to wards and units of the hospital.


 Visitation to the Gloryland  Ophanage home in Opolo,Bayelsa State was embarked upon and some of the   above items that were  extremely necessary were  also given to the Ophanage home.The admiration for this gesture reflected by their remarks and prayers for DTOF.

One thing  was on the lips of everyone we came across ;DTOF, DTOF, DTOF..loving ,caring and sharing.Truth be told  the  beneficiaries were appreciative of  the philanthropist gesture.

No doubt,DTOF have made her marks in pursuing    an improved Health care  service delivery by implementing projects, policies and programmes that  will  benefit  mankind.


We hope to continue to push forward the ideas of DTOF.

Good evening my people , now that Prof Ujah has accepted his Vice Chancellorship appointment, i feel the next rational step is for him to withdraw his candidacy for NMA President. No long story! If he does otherwise and proceeds with his NMA candidacy after accepting his VC appointment, then something is hugely wrong.The earlier we stop defending the indefensible the better for us all NB..We are for everybody and for no body ie We are not campaigning for or against anybody in the forthcoming election. We have a strong feeling that Prof wont allow some political jobbers and masquerades who have long remained in Naija doctors political space solely for their personal interest and self aggrandizement to coerce him into this moral conundrum. Some people have been eaten up and still derive their source of livelihood from NMA NARD etc. ..now they see Prof as a potential winner and want to force him to take this journey of monumental disgrace and humongous ignominy just for their personal gai

SOUTH EAST DTOF REGIONAL REPORTS* June 19, 2020 was a remarkable day for little *Master Chijianu Abonyi* a 20 month old male, admitted in the Paediatric Ward for Obstructive Uropathy. The patient’s mother is indigent and couldn’t afford her hospital bills.  Today this child benefited from the *DOCTORS TIME OUT FAMILY CHARITIES * who made a presentation of the sum of *120,000 naira* to the family.
