LASSA FEVER OUTREACH PLANNING 20TH JANUARY 2018



Doctors Timeout family (DTOF) is a humanitarian, non-profitable charity organisation comprising nigerian doctors at home and in diaspora.It was founded with the aim of giving back to society via poverty alleviation programs, free medical out reaches, public enlightenment campaigns on diseases of public health importance with the target groups being the less privileged and the general public.
We also advocate for policy reforms especially Universal Health Coverage (UHC), expansion of the National Health Insurance scheme to cover all Nigerians, and commitment to the SDGs.


As part of our social corporate responsibilities and in the face of the Lassa Fever scourge,  we are planning to embark on a one-day Lassa fever sensitisation outreach to markets and motor parks, in parts of Abuja, Federal capital territory to educate residents on the reality of the disease including; cause, mode of transmission and prevention ( environmental and personal hygiene).


The campaign will be carried out in collaboration with the FCT Ministry of health, ARD Abuja, National Union Of road Transport workers (NURTW), and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
Our members, will be dressed in Black T-shirts marked “Lassa Fever Awareness campaign” at the back and march to markets and motor parks to educate people on the dangers associated with Lassa fever disease.
We will also distribute handbills to members of the public as we educate them on the realities of the virus.
This event will hold on Wednesday 31st January 2018 in Abuja from 10am AND IT HELD

Good evening my people , now that Prof Ujah has accepted his Vice Chancellorship appointment, i feel the next rational step is for him to withdraw his candidacy for NMA President. No long story! If he does otherwise and proceeds with his NMA candidacy after accepting his VC appointment, then something is hugely wrong.The earlier we stop defending the indefensible the better for us all NB..We are for everybody and for no body ie We are not campaigning for or against anybody in the forthcoming election. We have a strong feeling that Prof wont allow some political jobbers and masquerades who have long remained in Naija doctors political space solely for their personal interest and self aggrandizement to coerce him into this moral conundrum. Some people have been eaten up and still derive their source of livelihood from NMA NARD etc. ..now they see Prof as a potential winner and want to force him to take this journey of monumental disgrace and humongous ignominy just for their personal gai

SOUTH EAST DTOF REGIONAL REPORTS* June 19, 2020 was a remarkable day for little *Master Chijianu Abonyi* a 20 month old male, admitted in the Paediatric Ward for Obstructive Uropathy. The patient’s mother is indigent and couldn’t afford her hospital bills.  Today this child benefited from the *DOCTORS TIME OUT FAMILY CHARITIES * who made a presentation of the sum of *120,000 naira* to the family.
